Discover & Create Focus Tour
-Age-appropriate, staff directed
-One and a half hours
-Recommended for preschool and K-2nd grade students

Students are encouraged to use their imagination by participating in activities such as painting, exploring natural North Carolina clay, building their own kid-sized house, creating mail-art and making a story quilt square.

Discover & Create Cost:
Students:$4 (12 minimum, 50 maximum)
Adults:$4
One free supervising adult for every:
   -seven elementary students
   -four preschoolers

Tour Times:

Group tours are not offered during public hours due to space limitations.


  Visitor Services
- Center City Park and Festival Park are both located adjacent to the Cultural Center for bag lunch picnics. There are no tables for large groups. Rain accommodations can be made if needed.
- The Greensboro Cultural Center houses other art galleries. For information call 336-373-2712.
- ArtQuest exhibits are wheelchair accessible.

The Focus Tours offer unique learning activities that help give the school curriculum a creative boost. Students practice applying their knowledge by exploring and inventing in a variety of materials. Activities increase critical thinking and interpretation skills through hands-on fun, offering new insights and promoting cultural awareness.

Focus Tour Cost:

Planning your field trip is easy
Choose your type of tour. The Discover and Create tour covers a broader range of topics and ideas and is suitable for preschool through elementary ages. Visual Art Competency goals are met on this tour. The Focus tour is based on The North Carolina Standard Course of Study and fulfills many Competency Goals for grades 3-5. Please read the tour descriptions inside this brochure.

Pick a date and time. Select the date for your visit, be sure to have alternate choices handy. Remember, spaces fill up early so reserve early!

To make your reservations. Call Green Hill between 10 am - 4 pm. Call at least two weeks in advance if possible.
